Title:
Removing Internet Explorer Branding
Body:
Computers can have their web browsers "Branded" with ISP information. For example, machines with AOL will often display "Microsoft Internet Explorer - Provided by America Online" in the Title Bar.

To remove the branding, simply do the following:
Close all open Internet Explorer / Outlook Express windows.
Start Menu > RUN
Enter:  RUNDLL32.EXE_IEDKCS32.DLL,Clear

The mouse pointer will switch to an hourglass momentarily. Once it returns to normal (that will be the only indication anything has happened) open Internet Explorer and check to see that the branding has been removed.

If this does not correct the issue, use the Registry Editor to remove (or change) the branding. Be VERY careful using this tool - it is advised to BACK UP THE REGISTRY first!

Start Menu > REGEDIT
Scroll to the top and select "My Computer" Press [F3] to Search
Type the text from the browser windows you wish to change. [ENT]
Change or delete the text as desired
Close the Registry Editor and restart the computer.

Double-check the Internet Explorer Title Bar to be sure the undesirable text has been eliminated.
Expires:
Description:
Say goodbye to the "Provided by America Online" suffix!
