Title:
Internet Explorer Doesn't Dial Up
Body:
Properly configured, your Internet settings should allow any program to connect to the Internet by bringing up the Dial-Up connection. When this isn't happening, look at the following instructions to be sure your settings are correct.
From the Start Menu, choose Settings - then Control Panel. (Go directly to Control Panel in Windows XP.)
Locate and double-click on Internet Options. (In Windows XP, click "Switch to Classic View" to show all Control Panel items.)
Click the "Connections" tab.
Highlight your ISP's Dial-Up connection. Be certain "Always dial my default connection" is selected.
Click the "Set Default" button (if available) to set your connection as the default.
Click OK to save the changes.
If this does not resolve the problem, it might be necessary to call the ISP. They will be able to review your Internet settings with you over the phone, and check for other problems.
