Facebook is a popular Internet-based social networking website, used by millions of people. Like most public-access sites, anything you post there can become searchable.

Thankfully, you have the ability to control whether your personal information will be indexed and made available to Internet search engines. 

Checking the status of your searchability is really simple:

- Log in to Facebook.

- Click "Settings" in the upper-right corner of the screen.

- Click the "Privacy Settings" category.

- Click "Search"

- Check the status of the "Allow Indexing" option.

This option should be OFF (un-checked) for privacy or ON (checked) to allow Internet users to find you more easily.
